 Sales Policy

We have been long time breeders of purebred dogs.  Only getting into rabbits in the last few years, and breeding rabbits only recently.  Our approach with the dogs has always been we donít want there to be any surprises for the potential owners of one of our dogs.  We intend to continue that policy with our rabbits.

I hope that weíve covered everything below but if after reading this you still have questions please feel free to contact us.

  •  If you are interested in a rabbit, email us and we will put it on hold for you.
  • Unless otherwise noted on a particular animal, or where noted for multiple animal discounts, please do not ask us to reduce the price of an animal.  All prices posted are what we feel to be a reasonable price for the quality of the animal.  This is not a Flea Market or Garage Sale where bargaining is part of the process.  If you do not feel the price is appropriate/fair for the quality of the animal you are free to look elsewhere.
  • Deposits must be received within 5 days  by mail, in person, or by paypal.
  • If your deposit has not been received after 5 days the rabbit will be put back up for sale on a first come first serve basis.
  •  We accept Cash, Paypal, and Money Orders  (There is a 4% fee for paypal payments, contact  us if you wish to use paypal for payments or deposits. We will then send you the processing information)
  • A $20 Non-refundable deposit is required to put a rabbit on hold.
  • Payment of any deposit monies or payment in full is deemed acceptance of this sales policy.
  • Payment in full is required prior to or at the time of pick-up.
  • We will attempt to make reasonable accommodations for pick-up.  However, rabbits not picked up within 1 week of sale/deposit may be put back up for sale at our discretion.  If paid in full we will refund all but the $20 non-refundable deposit .
  • We may at our discretion, and if space is available hold a rabbit for more than 1 week at a boarding fee of $5 per week per animal.  Boarding fees are NOT refundable.
  • In the event that something happens to a rabbit that is on hold prior to pickup we will refund ALL of your money including any deposits, or offer an equivalent rabbit if available.
  • Exceptions:  Deposits placed on young rabbits still in the nest box.  Rabbits must be 8 weeks old before they can be sold.  And must be picked up within 1 week of the date they turn 8 weeks old.  As above if the rabbit has not been picked up within that week it will be put back up for sale at our discretion.
  • Rabbits must be 8 weeks old before they can be sold.
  • Buyer must be 18 years or older to purchase a rabbit.  Parents must accompany and approve purchases of rabbits intended for children (pet, 4H, etc).  No sales will be made to persons under the age of 18 without parent approval.
  • Third party transport:  Please be advised that we prefer not to transport our rabbits to you by means of another person.  You are expected to examine the rabbit yourself before purchase to ensure yourself that the rabbit is of the quality expected and that it is healthy.  It is possible that the rabbit could become sick once it leaves our care through no fault of our own, and we can not be responsible for the cost of vet care for such a rabbit.  If third party transport is the only method available for you to pick up the rabbit you assume ALL responsibility for treatment/care of the animal and cannot return the animal if you feel it is sick or not of the quality expected.  The rabbit must be paid for in full before transport, you must sign and return our sales agreement before transport should you choose third party transport.
  • We reserve the right to refuse sales to anyone for any reason.
  • We reserve the right to cancel a sale for any reason.  Deposits will be refunded in this situation.
  • Health: The rabbit is guaranteed to be healthy and free of communicable diseases at the time it leaves our home.  You are expected to examine the rabbit prior to purchase to ensure yourself that to the best of your knowledge the rabbit is healthy.  If you have any questions with regard to the health of your rabbit you should have it examined, at your expense, by your veterinarian.
  • Buyers must thoroughly check the rabbit before leaving our rabbitry.  Due to circumstances beyond our control (contact with other rabbits, handling, feeding etc.) we will not be responsible for problems found once the rabbit has left our rabbitry .
  • All sales are FINAL.  No refunds, exchanges or returns except at our discretion.
  • We reserve the right to alter this policy at any time.

Rescue: We are NOT a rabbit rescue program.  Please do not ask us to take your pet rabbit that you no longer want.  We will gladly take back any rabbit that we have sold you, but will not provide any form of financial restitution.  In other words.  If we sold you a rabbit and you no longer want the rabbit, canít keep the rabbit for any reason we will take the rabbit back, but we will NOT pay you for the rabbit.

In order for us to accept a rabbit back you will need to provide a copy of the sales/purchase agreement that we will provide you at the time of sale and the rabbit must fully meet the description listed on that agreement in terms of sex, color, ear number, and if applicable microchip number.  We hold the right to randomly microchip our rabbits to ensure the accuracy of our pedigree and identification program.

Pets:  Rabbits can make terrific pets.  However, we will NOT sell rabbits for Easter presents, no matter how cute you think it will be to have a baby bunny in the Easter Basket on Easter morning.  More Easter rabbits end up in various rescues than rabbits sold at any other time of the year.

So letís move on to rabbits sold any other time of the year.

Like a dog this should be looked at as a lifetime commitment to the rabbit.  They can live up to 7 years or more if well cared for.

Our background is in purebred dogs.  Like dogs there are some that may have minor faults or even a disqualification that makes that particular animal less likely to win awards at a show.  Those types of cosmetic faults will not interfere with the rabbits ability to be a wonderful pet.  Itís just not going to make it as a show rabbit. Is it really going to matter to you if your pet Netherlands ears are a little bigger than desired?  Or if it might have a little bit of off color fur?  Non-show quality rabbits may also be sold at a reduced price.  They will be sold ONLY with an agreement that they will not be bred.  You will be provided with full identifying information for that rabbit (Date of birth, sex, color, and the parents names), but you will not be given a copy of the rabbits pedigree.*

Bucks (male rabbits) probably will make a better pet as Does (females) can become territorial when mature.

Go back to our policy with regard to taking back any rabbit we sell.  That applies to pet rabbits as well.

After the Sale:  Please feel free to contact us with any questions, pictures or comments about your rabbit.
